     Linda Zemba Burhance is a best selling author and award winning Apparel Designer specializing in all types of Knitwear.

     Linda Burhance is a seasoned apparel executive and owner of APPAREL DEVELOPMENT CONSULTING, an apparel and compression knit product design and development company.  Her in depth experience serves Clients under NDA range from compression projects for High Intensity and Professional Athletes, to wearable technology projects for internationally acclaimed medical doctors, and line developments for venture capitalist entrepreneurs with couture level athletic wear brands.  Her compression calf sleeve was voted “Best of Market” in 2015 by an independent testing group.

     Linda has a proven record of success with a broad base of  brands, and was instrumental in launching the Bolero French lingerie line in the US as well as French brand Tropique swimwear. Linda has led the design groups of Major USA intimate Apparel brands such as Flexees and Lilyette, divisions of Maidenform Worldwide, where Linda was Vice President. Linda has traveled the world to develop design group licensees for partners in Italy, Spain, UK, France, Korea, India, Costa Rica and Honduras through Lovable World Trading Corporation. Currently an advisory board member of Buff You Intimates, Linda is advising on next gen consumers and their purchasing habits. Linda is an active member of the Marist College Fashion Advisory Board.

     Linda was a National Student Fashion Award winner, and her work was the subject of a television spot on PM Magazine. She won the “Outstanding U.S. Student Designer Award,” and she shared the stage with Ralph Lauren, Gianni Versace, Perry Ellis and Alexander Julian.   She has a degree in Fashion Design and Retail Merchandising from Marist College, and Executive MBA from Emory University. Linda was previously a Fashion Editor for the yarn and knitting needle company, Susan Bates, in Chester, CT, where she produced corporate pattern books like “Learn To Knit” and then became Fashion Editor at French yarn company Phildar, where she was responsible for designing exclusive hand knits. She has also produced pattern books for Plymouth, and has designed custom knits for celebrities.  

     Linda’s work has been featured in national women’s magazines such as Women’s Day and Family Circle. Linda was honored as Woman of the Year by her peers in the fashion business and her work has appeared in several fashion shows.  Linda has written 6 “how to” books for knitters and sewing enthusiasts, which can be found on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and national craft chains.
